Ahh California

Where else can you go from this

to this, in under an hour?

On Saturday Ryan and I took the kidlets up to the San Gabriel Mountains and found a campground to eat our packed lunch and let the boys hit trees with sticks and run down hills at full speed. They had a blast, we all were a little sunburnt, and we decided to go back in a couple of weeks and camp overnight. I'll let you know how that goes. :)

Here are some pictures of the fun day.

And now for the cutest picture of the day:

What a fun day! Mac could definitely use a day like that...SOON! I have a question for you: how do you import YouTube videos into entries on blogger?

Ryan and Jen--

Looks like tons of fun. On the opposite end of the SoCal drive spectrum would be a place like the beach at Corona Del Mar. Not the big public beach, but the one where you park for free on the street on the bluff above a spectacular little hidden beach located just inside Newport Harbor. The hike down is a little boy's dream come true as they would love to climb on the rocks. The waves are very gentle since it's a protected beach. The boys would soon be pretending they are pirates! Lots and lots of fun and lots of other families with children. Check it out sometime.
