A day late, a recipe short…

This is one of my very favorite salad recipes…so good with the feta.  It’s also really easy to prepare and is best if chilled for a couple of hours before eating.  If you go that route, wait to mix in the cheese until right before you serve it.  YUM!

Slaw with Feta Cheese

Ingredients

  • 2/3 cup vegetable oil
  • 1/4 cup white vinegar
  • 1/4 cup water
  • 1 garlic clove, pressed or minced
  • 1-2 t. ground pepper
  • 3/4 t. salt
  • 1 t. dried Italian seasoning
  • 1 med. head red cabbage, shredded
  • 4 oz. package feta cheese, crumbled

Directions

  • Whisk all ingredients together except cabbage and cheese.
  • Pour over cabbage, mix in cheese.

The bacon thingies are not too bad. As long as you wear gloves and get all the seeds out, they are not very spicy. I accidently left a few seeds in one time and had a difficult time eating them!

Mmmmmm. Seriously - that actually sounds good to me! Can I eat feta cheese though?? LOL.

20 years! We've known each other that long???!!! That sounds so crazy. That's almost two-thirds of our lives! Craziness! 20 more years sounds fun! :)
